Without heroes, like the ones highlighted below, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Today, we would like to wish a Happy Veterans Day and honor all who have served, especially those who are a special part of our Vaughan Baio family.

Attorney Richard F. McMenamin served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1971. We consider it a privilege to work with people, like Rick, who have shown such dedication towards protecting our freedom. He is an exemplary member of the VBP family and today we thank him not only for his incredible dedication to his clients, but for his bravery while serving our country.

Director of Marketing, Emily Rae Aita, is honoring both of her grandfathers during Veterans Day. Her maternal grandfather, Raymond Arentz, (whom she is named after) served as a Sargent in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Emily’s paternal grandfather, Paul Aita, served in the U.S. Navy. He spent time at sea as a Squadron Medical Officer, taking care of all the men on seven ships. He moved from ship to ship by both high-line and helicopter. He also spent time serving at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital as an Emergency Room Physician.

Attorney M. Jacqueline Larkin honors Veterans Day by celebrating her father, James Larkin. James was a captain in the Marine Corp in the 1970s. While serving, he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to James for his service to our country.

Attorney Pamela G. Cochenour has several family members who have and still are serving our country. Her father served in the Korean Conflict as well as the Vietnam War, during which he served two deployments in Okinawa. He later retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marines. Pam’s brother, Scott, served in the Army in Germany and her brother, Derek, is currently serving in Desert Storm in the Marines. Her wife, Val, served in the Army as a Military Intelligence Officer and was deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2005-2006. After 22 years, Val retired as a Major.

Legal Assistant Tanya Raggett honors Veterans Day by celebrating her father, John Cannova. John worked as a Morse Code Operator in the Korean War. His recent passing in 2021 has not only left a mark on our country, but he has impacted the many loved ones that surrounded him, so much so that Tanya’s son (John’s grandson) tattooed his arm with his grandfather’s date of birth and death. John was laid to rest at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.

Attorney Anthony A. Skalski has very close ties to the U.S. Armed Forces. His paternal grandfather, Theodore Skalski, fought in WWII with the Marines in the Pacific. We would like to extend our gratitude to him on Veterans Day.
