Biography
Danni Lynn Germano’s practice focuses on the defense of insurance companies, adjusters, employers, general contractors, school boards, and first responders/correctional officers in litigation encompassing a wide range of workers’ compensation matters. Her clients benefit from her keen understanding of the courts, insurance and construction industries, which she gleaned during her nearly three decades as resident of Florida. Danni Lynn is also experienced in workers’ compensation appeals. She has briefed numerous cases and presented oral arguments in the First District Court of Appeals, resulting in numerous published appellate opinions. Earlier in her legal career, Danni Lynn worked in the foreclosure industry representing banks and federal loan agencies, including Bank of America and Fannie Mae, in the forecloses of residential properties in major cities across south Florida.
Throughout her career, Danni Lynn has scored numerous wins on appeal. In her representation of the City of Orlando, she successfully argued before the Judge of Compensation Claims and then on appeal that the claimant’s illness was not an “occupational disease” nor suffered in the line of duty. This success resulted in a significant savings for the city. In a case where she represented the Osceola County School Board, Danni Lynn successfully argued for reversal of the Judge of Compensation Claims award of benefits to the claimant. The appeal resulted in an issue of first impression and the definition of the phrase “initial provision of benefits,” which is relied on daily by insurance carriers when determining the first inquiry into the initial provision of benefits.
Danni Lynn has passed down her love of college football to her children. Forever a proud Michigan Wolverine alumna, she was thrilled to share the excitement of Michigan’s 2023 College Football NCAA win with her son and daughter. In addition to her children, Danni Lynn also cherishes her nine-year-old French bulldog and seven-year-old English bulldog.
